About A Long Way From Home
Family names Duke,Hay,Hodges,Parker and Van Fosson. This site has been created for my first Grandchild born August 06, 2006. As most people we have tangled branches of a very large tree, as a gift to Fiona Van Fosson. I have gathered and will
continue to gather as much information about her family as I can. Her father, Greggery Van Fosson is suppose to be a direct decendant of Quannah Parker( on his Father's side). This has not been proven as of yet, but I will continue to work on this. Fiona's Great, Great, Great, Grandfather on Greggery's Mother (who just happens to be me, Jennifer Hay Parker Vanfosson)Father's (Clifton Bruce Hay)Mother's (Lena Bell Duke Hay Switzer) Father (Issac Isham Duke) is a direct decendant from the Duke Tobacco Company. I have gone back to the year 938AD with this branch of our family tree to Greece and Royality. It will take me a while to key in all of the families, their families and everyone elses families into this site, as I started this years ago before a computer could fit neatly on my lap. The first computer that I saw was at my High School (Bandera High School, Bandera, Bandera County,Texas) around 1965. It was in a room that it fit neatly into, which I am guessing it was about 400 sq feet (20 x 20). So a lot is hand written and being a lefty forced to be a righty I have only perfected the ledgeability of my scrawl, recently. I have collected stories and legends from more generations than I can count and with the help of the Bandera Bulletin (Local newpaper in Bandera, Bandera County, Texas)which was run and owned by my Great Great Uncle Ray Marvin Hay's Family, his son Ray Marvin Hay Hunter and Ray Marvin's Mother Nettie Hay Hunter Saul (Uncle Ray's x-wife), I have been able to get a great account of the old west as well as my Father's Hay side of the family, who were Mormons(some settled at Medina Lake,Mica/Lakehills, Bandera County, Texas the balance went to Las Vegas till gambling came in 1948 others went on to Salt
Lake City Utah) and as all know have kept records of records. Any and all help is always welcome.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
